A Perfect Father's Day Video

It's true that one of the most important decisions one will make in life is choosing the person to marry. This one decision will determine a person's happiness in life. With all my heart, I am so blessed and so happy to say that I'm such a lucky girl to be married to Brandon. I am so so proud of him. He is such a great father to our kids and he is a wonderful husband to me. He is a good son to his parents too. Here's one video of Brandon playing with Trixie. This is my tribute to Brandon for Father's Day. I love you, honey!

Valentine's Chocolates

Brandon surprised me this morning with three boxes of premium Japanese Nama Chocolates (where he got them, he wouldn't tell... ). He also kept them discreetly in the fridge, so I was really surprised. This is the first time he gave me chocolates and I was really impressed :) Pure chocolate pleasure.

It's been a while since Brandon took pictures of fun moments with the kids (that's what I call the second-kid syndrome: less excitement to take photos hehehe...). These were taken this morning, before Trixie went to school.

I am proud to say that I have been reborn in Trixie.  There's no denying the fact that Trixie looks like me- we have the same eyes and hair, and friends often tell us that we're twins!  But lately, I've been seeing plenty of Brandon's likes and traits in her.  Just see the photo insert.  We took this photo of Trixie when she fell asleep on her bed.  Look at the way she positioned her legs- very similar to the way Brandon sleeps.  Then there's her love for the water.  She just loves to swim (very unlike me) and stay by the bay or sea.  She loves the sound of strong waves and the wind blowing in her face.  We also found out this week that she loves longgan- one of Brandon's favorites too.  And just today, Trixie had her first taste of durian candy and she loved it.  I totally loathe durian, but Brandon loves it.  Now, he has someone to enjoy durian with.

I married the Grill King!

My ahia gave us this McGrill Griller so we can grill on top of the stove. This is a cool Filipino invention!

Brandon and I had a most wonderful night :) Both of us were busy in the kitchen... actually, Trixie too!. Brandon was in charge of the pork chops while I baked some corn muffins and vegies as side dishes. The result--- a really delish dinner! Brandon's pork chops were so flavorful, juicy and tender that Trixie effortlessly ate almost the whole pork chop! Best pork chops I've eaten, actually. (Way, way better that Italianni's!) I was also happy with the corn muffins--- finally, I was able to make corn muffins that I am really proud of! This is because I've had terrible, terrible corn muffins before. We are both indebted to "The New Best Recipe" cookbook which I now declare the best cookbook in the world!!! And I also declare my hubby Brandon as the Grill King!!!

While I was busy on the computer, Brandon played with Trixie. I read once that fathers can come up with some cool, fun stuff to do when they spend time with their kids- this video is testament to that! See how they played together and how Trixie was transformed to Spidergirl! :>

What to do on a rainy night? Cuddle with Papa :) I shot these photos using my cellphone camera. These photos are priceless. I just love taking photos of Brandon and Trixie. I'm already content just by looking at them together.
